Appenzell Folklore Museum Stein
Large collection of Swiss folk paintings and farmhouse cupboards.
The hand embroidery machine and 19th-century loom reflect the important themes of the cottage textile industry and farmers' supplemental income. In addition, the Appenzell alpine herdsmen’s culture and traditional craftsmanship are showcased.
Dry and dusty? Not at all! Rarely has traditional craftsmanship been such a hands-on experience!
