Where the "Chrutgarte" used to be in the monastery complex at Allerheiligen, a new herb garden was created in 1937/38. While the Benedictine monks focused on the usefulness of the medicinal, spice and vegetable plants, today's herb garden is a show garden and an oasis of peace. The plants are not harvested. In addition to typical monastic plants, the herb garden contains medicinal plants, plants of folk botanical importance from the peasant gardens, and Bible plants.
