Viewpoint Windegg

The Windegg viewpoint in the Tamina Valley offers a unique view of the Glarus Thrust and the Tamina Gorge. It is a popular spot to linger with information boards and climbing rocks.

In the Tamina Valley between Pfäfers and Vadura lies the info point to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona. With a unique view of the Glarus main overthrust on the Wildseehorns and the view of the Tamina Valley and towards the Tamina Gorge, it is a popular stopping place. In addition to comfortable seating and reclining furniture, originally designed information boards, judges and climbing rocks invite you to linger. From the viewpoint you also have a very good view of the Tamina Bridge, the largest arched bridge in Switzerland. It connects the two villages Pfäfers and Valens at the end of the valley.
