A pilgrimage path leads from the tranquil wine-growing village of Hallau to the mountain church of St. Moritz. Below it, a proud vineyard nestles gently on the slope.
With the prestigious Chilcheweg vineyard and the historic tufa cellar, Rutishauser-DiVino SA in Hallau cultivates two symbols of the Schaffhausen winegrowing scene. In addition to Hallau, the 20 hectares cultivated by the Rutishauser-DiVino vineyard are also located in Oberhallau, Trasadingen and Gächlingen.
All of the municipalities belong to the Klettgau, this vast plateau where sandy loam and a comparatively cool climate create the best conditions for velvety Pinot Noir, sparkling Riesling-Silvaner, powerful Chardonnay and full-bodied Blaufränkisch.
Built in 1896, the vaulted tufa rock cellar in our Hallau wine station is the ideal venue for weddings, anniversaries and other joyful celebrations.
