Seeztobel

The Seeztobel in Mels is a largely unknown natural wonder. With colorful stones and deep grooves, it offers exciting discoveries for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The two-castle view and impressive earth pillars are special highlights.

The Seeztobel is largely unknown. With its weathered colorful stones and the impressive furrows carved by water over centuries into the rock, this wild gorge offers exciting discoveries for hikers and nature lovers. From the village square in Mels, one enters the gorge via Oberdorf. Along the way, not only is there a rock platform high above the abyss, named "Zweischlösser-Blick" (where you can see the two castles of Sargans and Gutenberg in the Principality of Liechtenstein), but two earth pillars also rise above the path, which were already mentioned a hundred years ago. Behind the Tobel power station lies the narrowest part of the gorge: an impressive sight!
