Good coffee is the result of the work of people who know what they are doing and why they are doing it. We work with partners who focus on substance rather than quantity. We roast coffee the way it should be: clear. Clean. Independent. Light or dark, but always perfect. No compromises. Only character. Coffee is more than a drink. It is an encounter, culture, everyday life and something special all at once. For centuries, coffee has brought people together around a table. To discuss. To debate. To reflect.
That's what our espresso bar is for. A place with character. And damn good coffee. WHY DO WE ROAST COFFEE? BECAUSE IT'S NECESSARY. PERIOD. Coffee isn't just coffee. It stands for trade, history, exploitation, but also for taste, culture and encounters. We roast because we want to show that there is another way: transparent, fair, uncompromising in quality. Our coffees do not come from anonymous warehouses, but directly from people who know what they are doing. Small farmers, cooperatives, family businesses – people with attitude. We buy directly, pay fair prices and show what the result is. Everything is open, everything is visible.
Our roasts show what coffee has to offer: fruity aromas, depth, clarity, sometimes even more pronounced notes. No gimmicks, just honest expertise and a strong attitude. And yes: without the producers, we would be nothing. That's why we don't take ourselves too seriously. But we take what we do very seriously.
And because our attitude doesn't stop at coffee... We do the same with our bakery: artisan bread. Homemade cakes. Honest, pure, regional. Butter, flour and other ingredients come directly from local producers. No frills. No compromises. Just like with coffee. Whether it's a croissant with espresso or sourdough bread for home, everything we make has to taste good. And do good.
PATAP isn't perfect. But it's authentic. And that's the most important thing for us.
