Paragliding Flumserberg
The flying area of the Paragliding Club Spitzmeilen at Flumserberg offers launch sites at Prodkamm and Schöhalden. Day and annual passes are required. An annual flying festival attracts pilots and enthusiasts.
The Spitzmeilen Paragliding Club (GCS) flying area covers the Flumserberg mountains and Schönhalden (Kleinberg) in Flums. The official launch sites are Prodkamm (NE–W), Maschgenkamm (W–NW and S–SE), and Schönhalden (NE).
Every pilot taking off or landing must have a valid daily or annual GCS permit and display it clearly on their helmet. A daily permit costs CHF 8.00, and an annual permit CHF 30.00. Permits are available at Flumserberg Info, Tannenboden (Tel. +41 81 720 18 18), Unterterzen Info (Tel. +41 81 720 17 17), the Prodkamm mountain restaurant (Tel. +41 81 733 23 13), and the Schönhalden upper station (Tel. +41 81 733 11 96).
Paragliding schools and Siku event organisers are welcome to train in the GCS area. All students must also hold a valid daily or annual permit.
Each summer, the GCS hosts its multi-day flying festival – a highlight for pilots and visitors, young and old alike. Further information, including weather updates, tariffs, safety advice, tips and news, can be found on the information boards at the landing sites and on the GCS website: www.gc-spitzmeilen.ch
