KINOTHEATER Madlen
Unique in the region - the Madlen offers cinema, theater, cabaret, comedy, concerts or lectures as well as its own restaurant
In 1949, the Madlen sound and film theater in Heerbrugg was ceremoniously opened by the operator J. Eggimann with the film “Weisses Gold”. The creator of the plans and manager of the cinema building was Fred Carnier, who displayed great architectural skill with this stately building. The tasteful auditorium was equipped with a complete stage, a movie screen, upholstered armchairs and leather seats. Picturesque mountain landscapes by the painter Hugentobler from Appenzell adorn the walls on both sides. The venerable Kinotheater Madlen was extended at the end of 2016 with a new extension featuring a second event and cinema hall. Since then, the entertainment section has been perfectly complemented by regional gastronomy. The personal atmosphere in the KINOTHEATER Madlen allows visitors to enjoy happy hours of relaxation.
