Kapelle St. Georg

The pretty chapel dates back to 1430, but its appearance has been altered several times through rebuilding and renovation. Next to the entrance is a field altar that speaks of many believers. The interior is surprisingly large and bright. There was probably a place of worship on the hill due to the prevailing energies. The early settlement of the site is evidenced by a prehistoric hearth and animal bones, while the Romans left behind a cistern, remains of walls, coins, etc. At the end of Roman rule, St. George's was converted into a fortified church to protect the population.
