Gsponbachfall

The Gsponbachfall in the Murgtal impresses with a height of 75 meters and its wild nature. It can be reached on foot from Murg station in about three hours. A visit can ideally be combined with the Murgsee circular tour.

From the valley floor of Alp Merlen, the view opens up to the Gsponbachfall, which cascades into the valley from the right side. The 75-meter high waterfall impresses not only with its height but also with the wild way it plunges into the valley. From the Murg train station, the waterfall can be reached by foot in about 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a car or the Murgtal Taxi to Merlen or Mornen. Tip: For nature lovers, it's almost a must to combine a visit to the Gsponbachfall with the Murgsee circular tour. Just behind the Gsponbachfall, a picturesque plateau opens up, where the wild Gsponbach meanders freely through the landscape. About two hours later, at Murgsee-Furggel, you’ll catch sight of the upper two Murg lakes before passing the lower Murgsee with its protected Swiss stone pine reserve on the way back. It doesn’t get more natural and water-filled than this!
